Pia Wurtzbach is set to auction her gowns for the benefit of LoveYourselfPH.
Fans of former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach or of local Filipino designers have a chance to own some of their signature pieces – while helping out a charity organization to boot.
In one of the more recent posts on her Instagram account, Pia Wurtzbach shared that the Mark Bumgarner gown that she wore to the Binibining Pilipinas coronation night will be part of a year-end auction that she will be holding in support of the youth center project of LoveYourselfPH. LoveYourselfPH is a volunteer community providing free HIV testing, counseling, treatment, and life coaching.
In the caption to the post, Pia added that she will also be auctioning other gowns that she has worn throughout her Miss Universe journey.
This isn’t the first time that Pia has parted with her designer pieces. Back in June last year, she and fellow Miss Universe winner Iris Mittenaere gave away their designer bags on Instagram. The giveaway was announced on Iris Instagram account with a picture of the two beauty queens with multiple designer bags.
Some of the bags being given away included an Yves Saint Laurent Kate medium chain bag in grain de pudre emobossed leather that can retail for as much as P69,000 on reselling sites, a Louis Vuitton Keepall Bandoulière that can retail for $3,250 or P 190,463 based on current exchange rates, an Yves Saint Laurent hobo bag that can retail for as much as $2,000 or P 116,849 on reselling sites, a Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM that can sell for as much as $3,200 or P 186,958 based on current exchange rates, and an Yves Saint Laurent mini Cassandra raffia top handle bag that retails for $2,650 or P 154,823 based on current exchange rates.
