The president and his First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos welcomed Sofronio at the President’s Hall of the palace to congratulate the US-based crooner on his victory. Sofronio is the first Asian and Filipino to win The Voice USA.
The president and his wife chatted with Sofronio, who was wearing a Barong Tagalog.
Sofronio sang his The Voice USA winning song “A Million Dreams” and “Imagine” by The Beatles, a personal favorite of President Marcos.
