The ashes of late Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu have been brought home by her mother, sister, and husband.
The family flew to Taiwan to retrieve an urn containing Hsu’s remains on Feb. 5, reported Taiwanese media Liberty Times.

The late actress’s sister, Dee Hsu, issued a subsequent statement to Taiwanese media that the ashes had arrived in Taipei.
“She has arrived home safely,” her sister said.
She added that the family would not organise a farewell ceremony as her sister had always been a “low-key person”.
“If you miss her, please keep it in your heart! Our whole family is grateful for your love for Shi Yuan.”

The star, also known as Big S, died of flu-related pneumonia on Feb. 2.
She was 48.
She had been in Japan with her family at the time, and reportedly displayed symptoms of coughing and asthma.
But despite visiting three different hospitals, she was not admitted to any of them and was only given a diagnosis at the third one, according to Taiwanese media reports.
Her condition took a turn for the worse, and she subsequently died.
CT scans done on Feb. 1 showed extensive lung damage, according to online reports.
In a previous statement on social media, Dee Hsu wrote:
“My dearest and kind sister Shi Yuan unfortunately left us due to influenza and pneumonia. I am grateful to be her sister in this life, to take care of each other and accompany each other. I will always be grateful to her and miss her! Shan~ Rest in peace! I will always love you together remember forever.”
