Before the well-known love teams like BarDa (Barbie Forteza and David Licauco) and RuCa (Ruru Madrid and Bianca Umali) were formed , many former young Kapuso pairs were enjoyed by fans in various GMA shows. One of the favorites was the Kapuso duo Ruru Madrid and Barbie Forteza, who teamed up in several projects.
In the latest episode of the GMA Public Affairs cooking talk show Lutong Bahay , many viewers were surprised by what Ruru Madrid revealed in their conversation with host Mikee Quintos. One of the things he admitted was that he used to date the Kapuso Primetime Princess.
” (Who) did you court or bestabbed you?” asked Mikee.
“I think I’m only 14 or 15, Barbie [Forteza],” answered Ruru.
“I was 14, I courted him. I gave him slippers. I didn’t know his size,” he added.
The Grandpa star also clarified that they are now friends with Barbie. He said it’s also funny that he is friends with Kapuso actor Jak Roberto, and the Pulang Araw star is close to his real-life partner Bianca Umali.
In addition to love affairs, Ruru Madrid also revealed some details about her life and career. He admits that he once became complacent in his work as an actor, so his career seemed to reach a plateau.
Other than Lutong Bahay , Action Hero will soon be seen again in the number one adventure series in Philippine primetime and 2022’s most watched TV show Lolong . In the new sequel, it is titled Grandfather: Bayani ng Bayan.
Ruru Madrid will next be seen in the movie Green Bones, the official entry of GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs in the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival. He is joined in the film by Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo and other talented actors such as Alessandra De Rossi, Iza Calzado, Kylie Padilla, and Sienna Stevens.
