Rita Avila pulled something out of the massive Labubu craze among celebrities.
The presence of Labubu or its collection that can be bought at the Pop Mart store that will officially open to the public in the country today is at the level of a status symbol.
It already had a ribbon cutting where Marian Rivera was one of those who opened it.
Heart Evangelista also visited yesterday.
And they are not the only collector, there are many. That others entertained. Like Anne Curtis, Kathryn Bernardo among others.
But the versatile actress Rita used to take care of dolls, not just Labubu. And he is aware that what he is doing is insulting. Still connected to his mental health state.
That’s why he posted “Because labubu dolls are trendy now, those who have them are normal, young or old. Accepted by society. They are also dressed.
“But the adults who had dolls back then, were not normal in the eyes of others because they were not fashionable.
“Only in the Philippines do people really like to make stories. If only a few do it: immediately abnormal or crazy.
“Well, our Mimay, Popoy and Pony are characters in four children’s books. Something brought us joy and a lesson. They are not just dolls,” part of Rita’s post.
Rita and her husband, Direk FM Reyes, did not have children, so their children were considered dolls. One of their children died.
But as Rita said, any accusations against her or her husband.
Until he wrote a book. “Go read THE INVISIBLE WINGS. Go ahead, buy at various branches of ST. PAULS BOOKSTORE nationwide.”
Many agreed with Rita that she was called weird for taking care of dolls but now many are very happy with collecting monster toys.
