Kim Chiu is currently in the news for dispelling speculation about her alleged engagement to Paulo Avelino. During a press event for her new project, Kim happily clarified that although their relationship is happy, they are not engaged yet.
In front of reporters, Kim bluntly said, “We’re not engaged yet. We’re in a happy place, but we’re not at that level yet. For now, we’re just enjoying each other’s company.”
He added, “I was also surprised by the news that was coming out. But Paulo and I are thankful for the fans’ support. Thank you very much for your love for us.”
Speculation about their engagement started after photos of Kim and Paulo looking at houses together went viral. Some netizens immediately assumed that they were preparing for a more serious commitment like marriage. In addition, their sweet vacation in Italy added fuel to the speculations.
However, Kim clarified that their house-hunting is just part of their dreams as a couple and does not mean engagement. “We love looking at beautiful houses, but it’s more of a hobby for now,” the actress said.
