Even though he didn’t graduate, a father is proud of his son’s graduation.
“Father’s frustration, son. Even so, I got it.”
That was the sentiment of Father Rodolfo Isurda when his son Keanne Roeh Isurda made him wear his toga. Keanne graduated from college with Magna Cum Laude at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP).
In the video uploaded by Keanne on TikTok which was also reposted on the GO Rizal Facebook page, it can be seen that Dad Rodolfo was emotional after his son made him wear his toga. Father Rodolfo admitted that he did not graduate.
“I didn’t experience that, I didn’t graduate. You’re wearing it. Take a picture of me, son. I didn’t graduate,” Dad Rodolfo said in the video.
In the text in the video, Keanne said that one of her promises to her father was to graduate Magna Cum Laude from PUP.
Dad Rodolfo also left a message for Keanne, “Whatever you achieve in your life, don’t forget your brother. There are only three of you.”
In the end, Keanne promised her father that she would lift their family out of poverty.
In the comments section of the video on GO Rizal, Keanne also left advice to the viewers.
“As for our neighbors who are experiencing problems, bereavement, and sadness, let’s just keep going in the fight of life. Be positive always and let God be the center of everything we do in life,” said the young man.
