“I want to clarify my name as well as Kuya Dingdong’s name…” – Lindsay De Vera

21-year-old actress Lindsay De Vera clarified that the issue that she got pregnant by Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes is untrue.

For the first time, Lindsay heard this herself when she was interviewed by social media, radio host, and entertainment writer Jobert Sucaldito via phone patch on his online talk show on Monday, January 25, a day before the actress’s birthday.

In Jobert’s interview, Lindsay directly answered the controversy involving her and Dingdong, who she starred with in the GMA series  Alyas Robin Hood,

Ani ng Filipino-British actress, “I want to clarify my name as well as Kuya Dingdong’s name that we don’t have that kind of relationship.

“We don’t have that kind of relationship.”

“Never po ako naging girlfriend or anything ni Kuya Dong and I respect Kuya Dong as a person and as an actor and as a husband and, siyempre, I also respect ‘yung wife.

“The fake news is not true.”

Lindsay and Dingdong have also reportedly spoken about his involvement in the issue of impregnating her out of respect for the wife of award-winning actor Marian Rivera.

Sambit ni Lindsay, “I don’t want na ma-issue pa sila and they are a very sweet couple, and they are a beautiful family.”

Lindsay and her family were also not affected by the gossip.

He said, “Since we all knew the truth, at first, we just laughed… at least to ourselves, to myself, I know what is true and what is not.”

Jobert and Lindsay’s conversation was short because the latter was feeling unwell and had a cough. So in the last part of the interview, the veteran showbiz writer gave the actress another chance to clear her and Dingdong’s names.

She clarified again, “Kuya Dong never got me pregnant and we never had a relationship. I respect Kuya Dong very much as a person, as a husband, and as an actor.”

Lindsay first worked with Dingdong in the 2015 series  Pari ‘Koy .

Aside from this and  Alyas Robin Hood,  just a few of Lindsay’s projects at GMA include the primetime series The Better Woman, Encantadia, Poor Senorita, My Love From The Star,  and  Victor Magtanggol .

For now, he has taken a leave of absence from showbiz to return to his studies.

He is currently based in Pangasinan with his family.
