Kim Chiu, in a recent post on the social media platform “X,” expressed shock and sadness over the news about the passing of famous Taiwanese actress, Barbie Hsu.

She is fondly called by many of her fans by her “Meteor Garden” character, “Shan Cai.” It can be recalled that news about Barbie’s death shocked many in the entertainment industry, particularly in Asia.

In her post, Kim revealed that she’s a fan of “Meteor Garden” and would always hurry home from school just so she can watch the series. “OMG!!!!!!😱😱😱 I remember after school I would rush home just to watch the meteor garden, if I can’t catch it I’ll watch it at the cafeteria outside our school,” Kim said in her X post. She then expressed her love and gratitude for Barbie, thanking her for giving color to her childhood. “OMG!!!! I love you SanChai!!!! May you rest in peace! Thank you for our colorful childhood. Pigtail braids!” Kim said.

Kim Chiu is a Filipina-Chinese actress and television host. She broke through in showbiz after becoming a winner in Pinoy Big Brother. She was born on April 19, 1990, in Cebu City to Chinese businessman William Chiu and Louella Yap. Kim is also known as the ‘Chinita Princess’ and was once hailed as the ‘Princess of Philippine Movies and TV.’

Recently, Kim took to Instagram and celebrated “galentine’s” at the start of the month. The actress said that she could not ask a better way to start the love month than with Angelica and Bela. She then thanked both Angge and Bela for the friendship that feels like home. Kim then shared why their friendship is so beautiful.

In her Instagram post, she showed how she shared blessings to her team and the production staff of ABS-CBN as her way of celebrating the Chinese New Year. She also shared how important it was for her family to celebrate the said event even when she was young.
