Kathryn Bernardo: “Don’t use your pain…”
“Don’t use your pain as a reason to hurt others.”
This is Kathryn Bernardo’s advice to her future child about love.
“Just because you’re in pain, you’re hurting, it doesn’t mean na you have to do the same,” paliwanag ni Kathryn.
Boy Abunda asked him on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda what advice he would give if his son asked him about love.
Pagpapatuloy niya, “Kindness, you can never go wrong with kindness. If something bad happens, or kung may mangyayari sa ‘yo, I’ll let you experience it because I can’t protect you from it.”
“But, maybe the only thing I can control is how you will handle yourself when you’re in pain, and I want you to know that, as long as you know your values, you know that no one else has stepped on your feet, then you shouldn’t be afraid of anything because you can handle everything.
“That’s what I did to myself.”
Kathryn and Tito Boy also talked about how she forgave after her 11-year relationship with Daniel Padilla.
“You should forgive yourself and forgive the person. But I think, personally, what happened to me, I first forgave myself, then I learned to forgive other people,” said Kathryn.
“It’s like I had to gauge everything that was happening last year, and then when I was ready, that’s when I arranged everything. It was different because it was reversed, or it was different at the same time.
“Just for me, I just said, this is the time for me to be selfish. And I want to give this time to myself. You feel everything, all the emotions you have to feel, and then face it, you have to face as long as you’re ready.”
Kathryn will star in the upcoming movie Hello, Love, Again with Alden Richards.
It can be seen in theaters worldwide starting November 13.
