Independent contractors Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz will appeal the resolution of the Department of Justice in relation to the accusation against them by Sandro Muhlach.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) has released its resolution regarding the accusation of actor Sandro Muhlach against independent contractors Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz.
Nones and Cruz were charged with rape through sexual assault and two counts of acts of lasciviousness after the prosecution found all the elements of the said crimes.
Nones and Cruz released a statement about this through their lawyer.
“For them, the grounds laid do not support the findings. Hence we will appeal this resolution. We might also file motions to quash the information filed in court,” lahad ni Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque, legal counsel nina Nones at Cruz.
Meanwhile, Muhlach’s camp reacted positively to the discussion of the case.
“Today, we are one step closer to our pursuit of justice for Sandro. We will continue to fight for Sandro and we have faith that our justice system will uphold the truth, honor Sandro’s courage, and hold his perpetrators accountable for their atrocities,” pahayag ni Atty. Czarina Raz, abogado ni Muhlach.
It can be recalled that Muhlach filed a complaint with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) against two independent contractors after he allegedly experienced sexual abuse from them.
Nones and Cruz strongly denied Muhlach’s allegations.
