Catriona Gray calls for donations to Smile Train PH, promises “special rewards” for those who want to donate

Catriona Gray’s continues to work for her chosen advocacies years after her Miss Universe win.

Former Miss Universe Catriona Gray continues to show that advocacies continue to be a big part of her life as she calls for donations for one of the non-government organizations (NGO) that she supports.

In one of the more recent posts on her Instagram account, Catriona posted an Instagram Reel of her asking for donations for Smile Train Philippines as part of her birthday month celebrations. Catriona described Smile Train Philippines’ work as a cause close to her heart and shared she has worked with them for six years, with five of those years as their global ambassador.

In the caption to the post, Catriona also included a “special incentive” for those who want to donate, promising a personalized video greeting for people who donate a minimum of PhP2,500 or US$43 to Smile Train Philippines.

Back in October last year, Catriona also celebrated World Smile Day with Smile Train Philippines, posting an Instagram Reel talking about the work that she does with the organization. Catriona also called on her fans and followers to support the organization’s vision to “transform the world one smile at a time.”

Catriona’s work with Smile Train Philippines is just the latest work she’s done for the causes she supports. Back in November last year, she organized the Legacy Ball that benefited the NGO Young Focus, an organization that she has been supporting since 2018, the year she won the Miss Universe crown.

Catriona has also advocated for HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) awareness, attending the 25th International Aids Conference in Munich, Germany. The International Aids Conference started in 1985 and is considered the world’s largest conference on HIV and AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome). Catriona toured the Global Village at the conference and the LoveYourselfPH booth and interviewed LoveYourselfPH officers.

Back in 2023, Catriona delivered a keynote speech in Bangkok about “Breaking Barriers: Combating Stigma in HIV Care for Young Priority Populations”.

Catriona was also the LoveYourselfPH ambassador at the Asian Stigma & Discrimination Forum 2023 held in Singapore.

Catriona has also previously featured the province of Ilocos Norte in her #RaiseYourFlag advocacy, which seeks to promote different regions in the country.
