A new season of Virgin River is on the way with a new set of faces making a debut and others leaving.

Netflix announced that Sara Canning and Cody Kearsley would be joining the cast for season 7 of the hit show. The returning cast includes Alexandra Breckenridge, Martin Henderson, Tim Matheson, Annette O’Toole, Colin Lawrence, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Zibby Allen, Sarah Dugdale, Marco Grazzini, Kai Bradbury, and Kandyse McClure.

Many remember Sara from her time on the CW show the Vampire Diaries and will be playing ex-cop Victoria. Victoria was shot in the line of duty and now works for the state medical board as an investigator. She will going Virgin River to look into Doc’s practice.

Cody has appeared on Riverdale and Daybreak and will play Clay. His character grew up in the foster care system with his younger sister. He and his sister have not seen each other since they were teens but he has tried looking for her.

With two new faces joining the show, there will also be some goodbyes. Mark Ghanime, who plays Cameron, will no longer be a series regular on Virgin River.

Patrick Sean Smith told TV Line in December 2024 that Mark would “always be a part of the world.” He continued: ” I would love to see his character back, but he won’t be a series regular in season 7, unfortunately.”

Luckily for Virgin River fans, Patrick did not rule out the possibility of Mark returning to the show in the future. He said: “I would love and can definitely imagine several opportunities of how we could bring Cameron back into our world.”

The Netflix show’s renewal was announced in October 2024 on its official Instagram account. Viewers have been raving about the new season and are excited for what is to come. Season six ended with Mel and Jack’s long-awaited wedding, which was followed by a cliffhanger involving Charmaine’s disappearance. Marley could also possibly be getting adopted.
