When asked about Chelsea’s chances in taking home the country’s fifth crown, Catriona dished that she is really excited, sharing that she thinks, “Chelsea brings a fresh breath of air into the competition.”
Catriona shared the exciting news of her return as a Miss Universe backstage correspondent during the intimate press conference for her upcoming Legacy Ball on November 22.
Continuing The Advocacy Six Years After Her Reign
Staying true to her core, Catriona continues to collaborate with Young Focus Philippines, a non-governmental organization centered on providing free education to the Filipino youth. And this year, Catriona is proud to share the culmination of the organization: the Legacy Ball, which aims to raise funds and continue to raise awareness on the underlying issues of youth education in the country.
Without sharing specifics, Catriona said that some of her Cornerstone Entertainment labelmates and some fellow beauty queens are going to be there to help spread the message of the gala. Fans can also expect to see some of the outfits previously worn by Catriona, made by Filipino designers, up for auction, to help raise even more funds for the organization she has been closely working with since 2016.
When asked about what us Cosmo girls can do to help affect change, even on a day-to-day basis, Catriona said to “start off small.” It might feel overwhelming to find a way to help. But Catriona says that one good way to start is by taking those little steps, like pooling your resources together and finding a cause close to your core and passions. That should be more than enough to get involved.
