Sanya Lopez revealed the “Pulang Araw” scene where her character Teresita was raped by Colonel Yuta Saitoh (Dennis Trillo) was all done in one take.

On Thursday night’s episode of the historical series, Teresita attempts to escape the home where she is held captive along with Filipina comfort women. When she fails, Saitoh punishes Teresita by hitting her and then raping her.

Fans on X commended Sanya and Dennis for their acting skills.

In a reply to a fan, Sanya revealed the rape scene was done in one take but had to follow several shots so it ended up being done in hours.

“Totoo na yung pawis namin bhieee…,” the First Lady of Primetime wrote, as she thanked Dennis for his work on the scene.

“Sa eksena na ito talaga ako humanga lalo sa kanya sa pagiging sobrang professional…bukod sa napakahusay..” Sanya said.

Before the series premiered, Sanya and her co-star Ashley Ortega visited comfort women.

The actress also admitted that it is difficult to watch the abuse scenes.

“Pulang Araw” airs weeknights on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after “24 Oras” and also streams on Netflix.
