While the conflict between the Miss Grand International president and the Myanmar national director was escalating, many new details were revealed, causing public outrage.
At the press conference on the afternoon of October 27, President Nawat contacted the 1st runner-up of Miss Grand International 2023 and Miss Grand Myanmar 2023 by phone. According to Ni Ni Lin Eain, she was shunned and even threatened by the Myanmar team after being crowned Miss Grand International.
According to President Nawat’s livestream, when she returned home with the title of Miss Grand International runner-up, Ni Ni Lin Eain and her family encountered many problems. The beauty forum Our Queen NiNi Lin Eain Myanmar reported that Ni Ni Lin Eain was forced to sleep with a sponsor but she did not agree to this.
According to Thailand’s leading daily newspaper Thairath, Mr. Nawat spoke on livestream about Ni Ni Lin Eain being forced to do inappropriate things.

“My mother supported me throughout the competition. All the expenses for participating in the competition were paid for by my family. The only thing the national director took care of for me was the yellow dress for the final night. My mother was a widow and I was an only daughter living with her. I don’t want to go into too much detail, but there have been many problems over the past year.
Even though I have completed my term, I still have not been free. I was bullied a lot after the Miss Grand International 2024 finale (October 25). I will hold a press conference in Myanmar soon,” Ni Ni Lin Eain told the media.
On the evening of October 26, Ni Ni Lin Eain shared on her personal Facebook page that she had endured too much and was ready to expose everything to the media. “It has been a full year of enduring everything that has happened. I have been patient with the expectation that everything will be peaceful when it is over. November 19, 2022, I am physically and mentally exhausted since I was crowned. I am Ni Ni Lin Eain. I am ready to resolve and present evidence at the press conference,” Miss Grand Myanmar 2023 wrote on her personal page.
Currently, Chairman Nawat has decided to cancel the Miss Grand Myanmar copyright of the current national director for many reasons. Mr. Nawat said that the Myanmar national director had borrowed a large amount of money from a Thai businessman but has not yet paid it off. Myanmar has not yet fully paid the hosting costs of Miss Grand International 2024 despite repeated reminders. The decision to change the host country of Miss Grand International 2024 is not related to the political situation but because of the huge debt of the Myanmar national director.
