Carla Abellana is one of the many captivated by Barbie Forteza’s outstanding acting on “Pulang Araw!”
On Instagram Stories, Carla shared her view as she tuned in on the Kapuso series’ Thursday episode.
The TV screen shows Barbie playing Adelina in an emotional scene as Teresita (Sanya Lopez) was arranged to be married to Hiroshi (David Licauco).
“BEAUTIFUL delivery,” Carla wrote. “I am such a fan, Barbie,” she added as she tagged the actress and included a clapping emoji and the hashtag #PulangArawPaghihiwalay.
Barbie reposted the photo and said, “Waaahhh!!! Grabe! Maraming salamat po, Ms. Carla Abellana.”
“Hoping for your speedy recovery po,” the Kapuso Primetime Princess said as she tagged Carla, who is in the hospital.
The main antagonist of the series is Col. Yuta Saitoh, played by Dennis Trillo, a Japanese imperial army officer whose mission is to conquer the Philippines. He will develop feelings for Teresita.
The show made a strong debut on Netflix last month and was a trending topic on X.
“Pulang Araw” airs weeknights on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after “24 Oras.”
