Vic Sotto shared his experience working with Piolo Pascual
Veteran comedian-host Vic Sotto revealed the reason why he did not have a bonding moment with Kapamilya actor Piolo Pascual while they were filming for the movie The Kingdom.
This movie, produced by APT Entertainment, MQuest Ventures, and M-Zet Productions, is one of the official entries in the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival that is set to be released on December 25. The drama movie is directed by Mike Tuviera.
In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Vic said that working with Piolo was a good experience for him. When this was offered to him and he knew that Piolo was part of it, it made him feel excited.

For the veteran comedian-host, it was a surreal thing as he and Piolo belonged to different networks. Piolo has been under the management of the Kapamilya network for many years while Vic has been working in the Kapuso and Kapatid networks.
Fortunately, they were able to be together through this movie project. Even though Vic had a lot of good words about Piolo, he revealed that no bonding moment happened between them while they were filming.
📷: PEPVic said that bonding could not happen because of their roles. “If you watch the movie, hindi kami magkaibigan. So, ako talaga, I tried staying away. Iba kasi yung best friend mo tapos ganito ang eksena, ang hirap,” he explained.
The Eat Bulaga host also said that this helped the scenes to look believable. Their characters have different stories and when they meet in the story, it is more effective. “But we are friends, hindi lang kami nagba-bonding,” Vic stressed.
Vic also said that this movie is a straight drama from the beginning. He corrected the perception that it is “medyo comedy.” As a veteran comedian, Vic is known for his humor and the comedy shows and movies he did in the past. However, this year, he will showcase his other side as an actor.
