Many people are curious about the new national director of Miss Grand Myanmar. Over the past few hours, social media has been buzzing with the news that Miss Grand Myanmar has officially changed its rights holder. The person appointed to the position of national director is said to be the “beloved daughter” of the president of Miss Grand International – Ni Ni Lin Eain.
Specifically, many beauty pageant fans have found the new information page for the Miss Grand Myanmar competition. On this digital platform, the organization announced to the audience about the changes in the operational structure as well as the position of the national director of Miss Grand Myanmar. In a recent post, the organization stated that the president of Miss Grand International and the new national director (Ni Ni Lin Eain) would hold a press conference on November 3rd.
The first runner-up of Miss Grand International 2023 and Miss Grand Myanmar 2023, Ni Ni Lin Eain, is said to have been appointed as the national director of Miss Grand Myanmar.
On the official Miss Grand Myanmar page, the following content was shared:
“The national director of Miss Grand Myanmar and the owner of Miss Grand International (Mr. Nawat) will hold a press conference at the Novotel hotel on November 3, 2024. Media agencies attending the event to gather information need to note the following points:
- A total of 2 reporters, including one cameraman for each media agency, will be allowed to collect information.
Please send the names of the 2 individuals to the Miss Grand Myanmar organizing committee before November 2.
Please note that only those who have registered their names and have badges will be allowed into the event hall. Those who have not registered will not be allowed into the event.
Please note that photos and videos of the event can only be taken in designated areas.”
During the press conference on October 27, President Nawat announced the decision to revoke the Miss Grand Myanmar rights from Htoo Ant Lwin for various reasons. The decision to change the host country for Miss Grand International 2024 is not related to the political situation, but rather due to the enormous debt of the former national director of Myanmar.
Mr. Nawat revealed that Htoo Ant Lwin had borrowed a large sum from a Thai businessman but has yet to repay it. Myanmar has not fully paid the costs as the host of Miss Grand International 2024 despite multiple reminders.
Additionally, the accusations of accepting a bribe of $25,000 and Htoo Ant Lwin’s behavior during the Miss Grand International 2024 final also displeased Mr. Nawat. In fact, President Nawat even stated that he would report to the police and have Htoo Ant Lwin arrested if they met.
“Don’t let me meet you. $25,000. If you have any evidence that I accepted a bribe, bring it forward. I will give away the entire Miss Grand International corporation for free. But if not, I will report to the police and have you arrested for defamation and slandering others. You will be arrested at any moment. For people like me, $25,000 is only enough to buy a Dior outfit that I wore yesterday,” the president of Miss Grand International expressed his frustration.
