“#PERUPPINES,” declared Tati Calmell of Peru as she expressed her love for her Miss Universe roommate, Chelsea Manalo of the Philippines.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Calmell thanked Manalo for their friendship, saying she is looking forward to spending more time together as Miss Universe Continental Queens.
Calmell was proclaimed Miss Universe Americas, while Manalo was given the Miss Universe Asia title in this year’s competition.
“Sisterhood for life,” the beauty queen from Peru said. “I couldn’t ask for a better partner through this journey, the sweetest girl ever, always with a smile on her face!”
“Thank you, sis, for always staying positive and true to yourself! As we said at the start, we will be together till the end, now as Miss Universe Asia and Americas,” she added.
Calmell also spoke of plans of visiting Manalo in the Philippines. “Can’t wait for our time in Filipinas soon! See you soon, then, Chels!” she said.
In response, the Filipina beauty queen said she is also looking forward to going to Peru. “Can’t wait to visit each other’s countries. Till the end, ate, ti amo mucho!”
