The heat is on for the Philippines as Filipina beauty Chelsea Manalo officially wears her Philippine sash in the Miss Universe competition.
In a recent interview, Manalo said she remains calm as she counts down the days to the pageant.
“Now it gets a little bit more real, now that I see these people who will be in Mexico to support me,” Manalo said.
Manalo is aiming to become the Philippines’ fifth Miss Universe titleholder after Catriona Gray (2018), Pia Wurtzbach (2015), Margie Moran (1973), and Gloria Diaz (1969).
The 73rd Miss Universe competition will be held in Mexico on November 16. The pageant will be shown live on ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, Metro Channel, and iWantTFC on November 17.
