Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil got angry on livestream when talking about the beauty queen from the Philippines who joked ‘Miss Grand International is the worst pageant’. Recently, the clip of Miss Universe Philippines 2014 frankly commenting that Miss Grand International is “the worst pageant in the Philippines” has caused a stir in the beauty fan community. A series of MGI beauty queens and runners-up have posted to express their thoughts and defend the reputation of the pageant.On a recent livestream, Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil – the “father” of Miss Grand International angrily talked about MJ Lastimosa – Miss Universe Philippines 2014. The MGI President revealed the close relationship between him and this beauty queen before the scandal broke out.
Specifically, Mr. Nawat shared on livestream: “I have met her many times. I am really friendly and give her a lot of things. She always says ‘Oh, Miss Grand is number 1 and a big producer’. So last year she bought a ticket to fly to Indonesia and went backstage to do an interview clip, even interviewed me.
I helped her with everything because I was fair and appreciated her during that time. I think she is better than many others. When I came to Manila, we often called each other. We are good friends and I helped her a lot. Even this year when the contest was held in Vietnam, she came to Ho Chi Minh City. Before she left the hotel, I met her in the hotel lobby. At that time she said ‘Oh, I love you so much, Papa Papa. I love Miss Grand so much, Miss Grand is number 1’.
