Olivia Rodrigo surprises Marian Rivera’s daughter with birthday gift

Olivia Rodrigo gives birthday gift to Marian Rivera's daughter Zia

ZIA Dantes, the daughter of celebrity couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes, recently celebrated her ninth birthday, which became extra special for her because of a sweet surprise she received from her favorite singer, Olivia Rodrigo.

On Facebook, Rivera shared a clip of her telling Zia to close her eyes as she opened a brown box in front of her daughter and her friends. The Kapuso Primetime Queen then revealed that it was actually a gift from the Gen Z Filipina-American singer, which turned out to be merchandise of the “Guts World Tour.”

The gift contained a T-shirt, a purple tumbler, bluetooth earbuds, and a letter for Zia, which turned the birthday celebrator emotional.

“Thank you,” Zia told Olivia.

In the caption, Rivera also expressed her gratitude to the 21-year-old pop star for the birthday gift she sent to her daughter.

“No wonder so many people admire and love you. Zia loves you so much!” the actress wrote.

It can be recalled that the mother-and-daughter tandem attended the Manila leg of Olivia’s “Guts World Tour” held at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.

On Instagram, the “Balota” actress shared a clip of Zia fangirling over Olivia as she sang “logical” while perched atop a crescent moon.

“Kung saan ka masaya, anak, nandito lang kami para suportahan ka! We love you! [Olivia] salamat pinasaya mo si Ate Zia,” Marian said.

Other Filipino Gen Z celebrities were also spotted at the “Guts” concert in Bulacan, including Andrea Brillantes, Sharlene San Pedro, and Elijah Canlas.

Prior to her concert, Olivia explored Manila with her boyfriend, “Enola Holmes” actor Louis Partridge.

The couple was spotted in Intramuros, popularly known as the historic “Walled City.” They particularly visited Plaza San Luis Complex to rent bicycles from a socio-ecological enterprise that offers guided bamboo bicycle tours.

Several Filipino fans, collectively known as Livies, were lucky to meet Olivia in person and take photos with her during her Intramuros tour.

When she set foot in the Philippines, the first thing that Olivia did was secure herself a bowl of halo-halo, a Filipino shaved ice dessert made with various sweet ingredients topped with milk, leche flan, ube, and ice cream.

The “Guts World Tour” was Olivia’s first-ever performance in the country. Her “GUTS World Tour Concert Special” will be available on Netflix on October 29.
