Kathryn Bernardo is all about claiming success these days. The blockbuster queen has again proven her talent with the release of her latest film, Hello, Love, Again. And even with all the success as one of the top actresses of her generation, Kathryn is still that normal girl (like us) who’s worked hard to give the best for her family.
One of the many things that Kathryn achieved in the middle of her back-to-back projects was “Casa Bernardo.” It’s the name that fans made for Kathryn and her family’s huge and wonderful mansion in Antipolo City. For others, houses or properties are investments, but for Kathryn, their new house is definitely one of her major milestones in life.
In a sit-down interview with Bianca Gonzalez, Kathryn shared her vision and her experience while building their house. She disclosed that so many factors interrupted the house’s progress early on, like the pandemic. So now that they’ve already settled in and have also opened the doors of their home to their friends, everything’s in place for Kathryn.
Waking up at the house sends Kathryn that sense of fulfillment. After all, she divulged that the house was something she wanted, not just for herself, but most importantly for her family. “It’s more than fulfilling. Kasi more than my dream house, that house is really for my family. For my mama and papa,” she told Bianca.
Kathryn continued, “Not that they asked me to build that house for them, but it was like a promise to myself na someday I want to give them their dream house which happened last quarter last year.”
Kathrym also envisioned a house that would really feel like home not just for her but also for the next of their kin. She shares, “We want it to feel like home, especially for the kids. Kasi sila naman na eh, sa next generation, ‘yung future family ko, may pupuntahan sila. Para lang sure na meron silang matatawag na home. ‘Yun ‘yung purpose ‘nun.”
With everything said, the 28-year-old actress can’t overlook the fact that their house became one of her major achievements in life. She expressed how she has worked hard for it throughout the years, and thankfully, it was all worth—all for her family!
“When it happened, it took a lot of hard work, blood, sweat, and tears—literally—to build that house. It didn’t happen overnight. When it happened, iba siguro ‘yung happiness ko because alam ko kung paano ko siya pinaghirapan. Ang tagal, ang tagal ko siyang pinagtrabahuan. But it was all worth it ‘nung nakita ko ‘yung paano sina Mama and Papa ngayon. […] It’s one of the major milestones ko from 2023 until now,” Kathryn heartily conveyed.
