Miss Universe Philippines Chelsea Manalo said she was “ready to give it my all for my country” when she faces the judges of Miss Universe journey in a closed-door interview in Mexico on Wednesday.

In an Instagram post, Chelsea said she was “feeling the same excitement I had during my Miss Universe Philippines journey.”

But back then, she said “it was just me, my mom, and my dad—my team, my rock.”

“They supported me every step of the way, and their love and encouragement were everything,” she said.

She said stepping into the Miss Universe closed-door interviews was “different” because “I’m no longer just representing my family.” 

“I’m carrying the hopes and dreams of the entire Philippines with me,” Chelsea said.

“The pride I feel is immeasurable, and I’m ready to give it my all for my country. Let’s do this!”

The pageant’s 129 contestants will do closed-door interviews with the judges by batches at their official hotel.

The prelims will be held on November 14.

Chelsea will be fighting for the Philippines’ fifth Miss Universe crown in Mexico with the coronation on November 16.

‘IT’S GOING TO BE AN AMAZING SHOW’

Miss Universe 2024 is making history with the largest pool of candidates.

The girls have also been doing daily rehearsals, which Chelsea Manalo as “amazing.”

Netherlands’ Faith Landman said their rehearsals were “perfect.”

“We’re so excited about the show,” she added.

Miss Universe Great Britain Christina Chalk, who is half-Filipina, said she was “excited to show you how it’s going.”

“It’s amazing, it’s going to be a great show,” added Miss Universe Finland Matilda Wirtavuori.

Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel is set to host the preliminaries on November14.

The new queen will be introduced on the coronation night on Nov. 16 in Arena CDMX in Mexico.

Robin Thicke has been announced as the official performer of the 73rd Miss Universe.

“Since the launch of his solo career in 2003, Thicke’s soulful voice and unique blend of genres has captivated audiences globally,” said the Miss Universe Organization on an Instagram post.
