The Philippines’ Ahtisa Manalo was impressive at the jury session of the inaugural Miss Cosmo International 2024 held Thursday night in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
Showcasing the trademarked “Filipino resiliency” on the international stage, the 27-year-old beauty queen notably walked in high heels throughout the evening despite still recovering from a sprained ankle after a stage incident last weekend.
Key categories of the night included the introduction round, evening gown showcase, and the swimsuit segment. Manalo stunned in a blue and gold Mak Tumang gown which was a perfect fit for the segment’s theme. She then returned on stage with all-out energy in a bright yellow swimsuit.
The Candelaria-born beauty was joined by Cambodia, Indonesia, Peru, Puerto Rico, USA, Thailand, and New Zealand as the standouts from that evening. Miss Cosmo New Zealand Frankie Russell also owned the hearts of many Filipino pageant fans as a Filipina-Kiwi model and actress.
Miss Cosmo International revealed Paula Shugart, George Chien, and Pham Quang Vinh as part of the jury panel. They are also joined by Top 5 Miss Universe 2018 H’Hen Nie, Miss Supranational 2022 second runner-up Nguyen Huynh Kim Duyen, and Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu.
