The speculation originated from a misleading Facebook post, which falsely claimed that the television personality and her new boyfriend were planning a private wedding at a venue in Makati City.

According to the fake post, the wedding would be an intimate gathering, set in a beautifully decorated venue filled with plants and flowers. However, Kris Aquino quickly dismissed these claims through her close friend, Dindo Balares, a former entertainment editor. Balares shared screenshots of the false reports and conveyed Kris’s response to the rumors.

In her statement, Kris questioned the logic behind the claims, pointing out that she suffers from adult-onset asthma and chronic spontaneous urticaria. Due to her health conditions, she has extreme sensitivity to direct sun exposure and severe allergies to plant allergens. Kris explained that she would never choose an outdoor wedding venue, as it would pose a serious risk to her respiratory health.

She further clarified that she is currently in the Philippines undergoing ongoing treatments for her autoimmune diseases. Kris emphasized the importance of verifying information before sharing it online and urged the public to refrain from spreading false news.
