Jillian Ward and Michael Sager stopped by the room of a cervical cancer patient while they were taping for “My Ilonggo Girl” at a hospital.
According to Aubrey Carampel’s report on “24 Oras,” Thursday, the patient’s room was just opposite Jillian’s standby area.
“Naalala ko sa inyo ‘yung lola ko at ‘yung panganay ko na kapatid. Kasi noong na-ospital ‘yung lola ko, sila ‘yung magkasama, so saludo ako sa inyo,” Jillian told Lola Nimfa Magno.
The Sparkle star offered financial help and gave Lola Nimfa fruits. She also peeled the oranges for the lady.
“Natutuwa talaga ako. Hulog ka talaga ng Diyos sa akin,” Lola Nimfa said.
Jillian said that her last memory with her late grandmother was before she was taken to the hospital.
“Wala lang. Hindi ko na ‘yun magawa for her, so sa ibang tao ko nalang nagagawa.”
Michael also dropped by and said, “Happy Valentine’s po. Happy New Year. Kayo po ay lalaban.”
He said that he told his parents about how Jillian is such a blessing for having a heart to help others.
“Na-touch ako na very emotional ‘yung ginawa niya kasi it was so unexpected and kumbaga, it really says a lot about her,” Michael said.
Jillian and Michael star in “My Ilonggo Girl” with Arra San Agustin, Lianne Valentin, Empoy Marquez, Teresa Loyzaga, Arlene Muhlach, Richard Quan, Andrea Del Rosario, Vince Maristela, and Geo Mhanna.
It airs at Mondays to Thursdays at 9:35 p.m. on GMA Prime after “Mga Batang Riles.”
