Former beauty queen Laura Lehmann surprised her social media followers on Tuesday as she announced that she and her husband, basketball player Von Pessumal, are expecting their first child.

“Our biggest dream come true. Surprise, everyone,” she said in an Instagram post, which gave a glimpse of her growing baby bump.

Fans and friends of the couple, including Lehmann’s beauty queen friends, expressed their excitement over the arrival of their baby.

“OMG batchmate! So happy for the both of you,” said Miss World 2013 Megan Young, who is also pregnant with her first child.

 

“Baby Pessumal on the way! My auntie heart is so happy,” added Miss Eco International 2018 Cynthia Thomalla.

“Aw congratulations,” commented Miss Universe Philippines 2017 Rachel Peters.

Lehmann, a TV host and former courtside reporter, entered the pageant scene in 2014 via Binibining Pilipinas, where she finished as first runner-up.

She went on to join Miss World Philippines in 2017 and won the top crown. This allowed her to represent the country in Miss World that same year, placing in the Top 40 and winning the pageant’s “Beauty with a Purpose” competition.
