When Son Ye Jin revealed she’s been a fan of 'Crash Landing on You' co-star Hyun Bin since middle school
In an old interview, Son Ye Jin revealed she had a crush on Hyun Bin since middle school age. Now married to their child, this couple stole the hearts of many netizens because of their genuine rapport on and off screen, especially in promoting their all-time favorite hit K-Drama ‘Crash Landing on You’, which ranks as one of the most famous series ever created.
In a special Netflix segment called ‘Compliment Me,’ Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin took turns giving compliments to each other – but with a twist: with each, they had to guess whether they wrote the compliment themselves or if someone else, like a fan, did. At the tail end of the segment, Son Ye Jin disclosed that she had written, “Oppa, I first saw you when I was in the second year of my middle school.” She recalled watching Hyun Bin in ‘IRELAND,’ admitting that she listened to the drama’s OST a hundred times.

When she revealed that she was the writer of that compliment, Hyun Bin was visibly shocked, jokingly asking, “Is this a scam? ” Since both actors are of similar ages and ‘IRELAND’ premiered in 2004, it seemed impossible that Son Ye Jin could have watched it in middle school. She playfully included this detail to throw him off during the guessing game.
She even confessed to checking up on the OST fact online but ended with a sincere declaration: “I will always support and cheer for you,” which really touched Hyun Bin’s heart.

Meanwhile, Hyun Bin’s new ‘Harbin’ is doing the rounds in theatres. The actor is also slated to star in the historical drama ‘Made in Korea’. Son Ye Jin is reportedly on board Park Chan Wook’s ‘Can’t Help It,’ and has also been confirmed for an R-rated film series in a drama that shall also feature Ji Chang Wook.
