A beauty queen’s epic fall in front of screaming fans was captured on video as she made her way on stage during the 2024 Miss Universe competition in Mexico.

Multiple glammed-out contestants lined up on the stage at Arena CDMX in Mexico City on Saturday to greet the crowds, before they were followed by another group of women set to do the same.

But 22-year-old Lilly Sodal, also known as Miss Norway, turned the corner a bit too fast as she followed behind the other competitors – leading her to trip and slam to the ground.

Luckily, the camera was only capturing the girls’ faces as they made their way to the spotlight, despite being televised.

But her abrupt fall wasn’t completely hidden. Video footage captured the entire incident – including the Norwegian beauty queen strutting out in her high-heeled boots from backstage.

Just a moment later, the footage showed her arms flailing up as she quickly struck the ground and attempted to use her other arm to balance herself – directly in front of 20,000 cheering attendees.

The footage then showed a fellow beauty queen grabbing her arm to make sure her competition was okay – all while Sodal swiftly hopped back to her feet.

In a seamless recovery, Sodal got back up, fixed her hair and continued her model-like catwalk all the way to the microphone like nothing ever happened, as the crowd continued to chant and cheer.
