Jan Marini and Claudine Barretto are just a few of the most admired actresses since the ’90s, not only because of their excellent performances on television, but also because of their strong friendship.
But it will be remembered that there was a dispute between the best friends that really surprised fans.
The two did not reveal the reason for their issue, but the issue was reopened during Jan Marini and her husband Gerard Pizarras’ latest appearance on the GTV cooking talk show Lutong Bahay with Mikee Quintos and Chef Ylyt.
In the segment “Kitchen-terrogate,” Mikee Quintos asked the reason for the fight between the two actresses.
“Reveal what is the reason for your conflict with Ms. Claudine Barretto,” said Mikee.
The couple seemed embarrassed and chose not to answer the host’s controversial question.
In an interview in 2015, Jan commented on his conflict with Claudine and said that the issue had happened back in 1999.
Jan’s brief explanation was that there was just a “miscommunication” that happened between them.
“But you know, I really think, what was that? Well, it was just a miscommunication. I don’t know. It’s just that one day, one taping day, they just told me, ‘Hey, Clau is mad at you.’ I said, maybe it’s just a bad idea,” said Jan.
Jan did not elaborate on the matter in the said 2015 interview and simply encouraged everyone to “move on” because they were “old” and everything was “long over.”
